He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, UK. His research in Coevolutionary Computation has been cited for awards by international organizations, the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, for the 2009 Outstanding PhD Dissertation and 2010 IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation Outstanding Paper.
