D. degree in control science and engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2019. He was a visiting scholar at the department of mechanical engineering, University of Victoria, Canada, from Sep. 2017 to Oct. 2018. Since Oct. 2019, he has been with Harbin Institute of Technology, where he is currently associate professor. His research interests include hybrid systems, advanced control, and their applications in the field of specialized robots. Prof. Cai serves as an Associate Editor of International Journal of Aerospace System Science and Engineering, and served as a Guest Editor of Science China Technological Sciences.
