Since then, I started my teaching career at College of Precision Instruments and Opto-Electronics Engineering, Tianjin University. I became the director of lab of micro/nano measuring and manufacturing technology in 2007, which is part of State Key Laboratory of Precision Measuring Technology and Instruments. Now the lab of micro/nano measuring and manufacturing technology has 29 employees, and has 3 major research directions: micro/nano measuring technology, micro/nano manufacturing technology, and MEMS/NEMS devices. I am the principal investigator (PI) of micro/nano measuring technology. I have been the secretary general of the National Education Supervisory Commission on Instrument Science since 2013, which is managed by China's ministry of education. I have been the deputy secretary general of the pilot operatinggroup of the instrument science major since 2015, which is part of ChinaEngineering Education Accreditation Association. In scientific research, I focused on the theory, method, andinstrumentation of measurement science and technology at micro/nano scale. I amprincipal investigator for 12 projects with a total funding of 60 million RMB,which were supported from National Nature Science Foundation Committee,National Key Basic Research Program (973 project), NationalHigh-Technology Research and Development Program (863 project), etc. More100 scientific papers were issued, and some of them were published on Ultramicroscopy,Nanotechnology, Measurement Science and Technology, Applied Surface Science,Langmuir, Angewandte Chemie-Intern. Edition, etc. Eleven patents are alreadyauthorized by State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C, and fifteenpatents have been applied. My research works, which include nanofabrication, nanomanipulation and measurement based on SPM, optical measurement of the geometric and mechanical properties of microstructures I was selected as committee member of China Instrument and ControlSociety, Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology, Chinese Society forMeasurement, National Standardization Technical Committee on MEMS, and researchaffiliate of CIRP (International Academy for Production Engineering). I alsoachieved several great honors: New Century Excellent Talents in UniversityAward from Chinese Ministry of Education, Young Scholar Award of TianjinUniversity, and Labor Medal of Tianjin City.
