And the main research directions are precision testing technology and instruments design. I have participated in the "parts profile measuring machine", "polar coordinate type gear measuring instrument" and many other special large-scale measuring instrument structure designing, installation, debugging and other research work. In the aspect of coordinate measuring technology, I studied the error detection method and compensation technology of double cantilever three coordinate measuring machine. The non-rigid body error compensation model is established on the basis of rigid body model.In recent years, I have been working with enterprises to study gear measurement technology and instruments in many aspects. For example, cycloid gear radial tracking measurement technology and calculation method of modification quantity, the real-time error correction technology applying to the involute gear measuring errors caused by the installation eccentricity of the gearwheel. All the research results have been adopted and accepted by enterprises.I have studied the measuring method of the mechanism error of the four coordinate measuring instrument "gear measuring center", the detection technology and modeling method of indexing errors of turntable. Besides, I established the gear measuring center error compensation model to improve the measurement accuracy of the instrument. I summarized the research contents and published several papers in core journals such as Journal of Tianjin University, Acta Metrologica Sinica and China Mechanical Engineering.A single sensor two-dimensional contact probe based on gear measurement is designed and developed for gear measuring center. The probe can realize two dimensional tangential and radial measurement using a single sensor, and the probe has been applied for invention patent.I have undertaked the teaching of "Instrument Manufacturing Technology" course for the specialty of Measuring and Controlling Technologies and Instruments in the College of Precision Instrument and Opto-electronics Engineering, the teaching of “Interchangeability and Technical Measurement” for the specialty of Mechanical Design and Automation in the College of Mechanical Engineering. I have trained several graduate students.
